President Donald Trump fired off a wild claim during an ad-lib session at the White House ceremony for Team USA on Thursday.
Trump hosted the Olympic team at the White House to celebrate their achievements during the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan, Italy, where one athlete gave Trump a letterman's jacket and thanked him for "inspiring a movement that's uniting people across our country." At one point, the president weaved into a diatribe about how his administration has "saved women's sports" and college sports as well.
"We're in the process of working very hard," Trump said. "We had a bad judge's decision. A judge that knew nothing about sports. Declared sports unconstitutional, can you believe it?"
It was unclear which decision Trump was referring to, but he was likely talking about the Supreme Court's decision to overturn a lower court's ruling about excluding transgender athletes from women's sports.
