When people say "autism spectrum," most picture a straight line — "a little autistic" on one end, "very autistic" on the other. A new graphic in Yahoo Health replaces that line with something closer to a spider web.
The graphic is based on the Autism Symptom Dimensions Questionnaire, which measures 39 distinct traits across 10 categories: basic social communication, affiliation, perspective taking, peer relationships, repetitive motor behaviors, sensory interests, insistence on sameness, sensory sensitivities, restricted interests, and a catch-all "other" group. — Read the rest
