'Daddy's home!' C-SPAN nixes pro-Trump caller after racial rant about Obama
C-SPAN host Pedro Echevarria cut off a fan of President Donald Trump after he began a racial rant about former President Barack Obama.
"You guys need to leave Trump alone!" a caller from Ohio named Greg exclaimed on Thursday's Washington Journal program. "I can't help it."
"You guys ain't used to having a daddy," he continued. "But daddy's home. Daddy's going to take care of all this crap."
The caller lashed out at "deranged commie-crats," including MSNBC and CNN.
"They have brainwashed you and this channel here!" he said.
"Hold on," Echevarria interrupted. "Congress is the one acting on these things. That's why we're turning it to you to respond to that. So what do you think of the congressional actions?"
"Oh, how about why didn't we have all these conversations when Obama was doing?" the caller raged. "Huh? None of this crap. Why? Because he'd throw the race card out?"
With that, the C-SPAN host ended the call.
