Jewish Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) posted a video to X saying he was run off the road while in a car by someone waving a Palestinian flag.
"Let's make something abundantly clear to anyone who needs to see this, which apparently is a lot of people," Miller began in the video. "If you have an issue with a legislator, your city councilman, your mayor, anyone like that, the appropriate thing to do is to reach out to them for a phone call to set up a meeting at one of our district offices."
"What is not okay is to assault anyone, whether you're a member of Congress or anybody else within our district, while you are driving to work," he continued. "Ohio-7, this morning, as I was driving to work some unhinged, deranged man decided to lay on his horn and run me off the road when he couldn't get my attention to show me a Palestinian flag."
He went on to repeat some of the slurs and threats, and noted that thankfully, his family wasn't in his car. He pledged that he will continue to fight antisemitism along with "Islamophobia and all other forms of hate."
"You have an issue? Take it to our office," he added. "You want to run me off the road? That's a different story."
Miller wrote in the post that he has filed a police report with the Capitol Police and his local police department. He said he knows who the individual is.
Unless members of Congress are in the leadership, they're not assigned any security or protection. They're also not allotted any funds to hire their own private security. Instead, they must pay for it out of their own funds.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) commented to "The View" on Thursday morning that she, too, has faced threats of violence and implored Congress to do more to protect her and her fellow members.
